SZ Intl. Talent Exchange Center inaugurated

THE Shenzhen International Talent Exchange Center was inaugurated in Bao’an Talent Park yesterday with the mission to undertake the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP).
China’s only conference oriented to foreign experts, training institutions and professionals and the highest-level international event for exchanging talent resources, the CIEP was first held in 2001. Shenzhen began to host the conference in 2008.
Jointly set up by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Information Center, China International Talent Exchange Center, Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Bao’an District Government, the center is designed to serve as a go-between for foreign talent and their recruiters within and outside China, according to a news conference held by the 16th CIEP organizing committee at the Wuzhou Guest House in Futian District yesterday.
The new establishment’s mission also includes organizing international talent meetings and trainings, conducting foreign talent authentication projects, introducing high-level talent from overseas, building information databases about high-end foreign and returning Chinese talent, and holding job fairs in foreign countries to recruit professionals to work in Shenzhen.
The 16th CIEP, which will take place from April 14 to 15 next year, will set up subvenues in Germany and Hong Kong, the first in those regions of the exchange’s history.
The conference will highlight hot issues of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and mainly include 16 parts, covering exhibitions and negotiations, talent recruitment, project docking, summits, talent training, workshops and symposiums.
A group of key Chinese enterprises will hold job fairs in German universities while enterprises from Shenzhen and Pearl River Delta cities will go to Hong Kong to invite university graduates and professionals from the SAR to work in the cities.
Next year’s CIEP will also set up subvenues in Bao’an and Longhua districts for the first time, according to the organizers.
Introducing Global Expertise, Promoting Common Development as its theme, the CIEP aims to be a key platform for connecting China with the rest of the world in terms of talent, wisdom, technology, projects, and management.
More than 15,000 professional representatives and 4,500 organizations and companies from over 70 countries and regions attended this year’s CIEP.
