OCT Flamboyant flower Carnival

Organized by the Overseas Chinese Town Group, the OCT Flamboyant Flower Carnival, which will be held this weekend, will include an exhibition, performances, installations and a photography contest.
Photo contest
Photography lovers are welcome to take photos of flamboyant flowers in the city for a photography competition. The deadline to submit photos is June 18. Application WeChat is “OCT凤凰花嘉年华.”
Growroom exhibition
Swedish architects Mads-Ulrik Husum and Sine Lindholm have collaborated with Space10, Ikea’s innovation lab, to design a piece of living furniture that is able to feed a number of people. Called the Growroom, it’s a flat-pack spherical garden that grows plants, veggies and herbs.

Performance
Shenzhen artist Peng Yu will give an improvisational performance related to the body and nature.

Light installation
U.S. installation artist Jackson Porretta will showcase a light installation performance.

Shadow workshop
U.S. theatrical educator and performer Evan Hastings will give an improvisational performance in a dark room.
